Jaimie McClyment recently touched down on earth and is enjoying all the music. During his stay, he's appeared on stage with a variety of artists including Amir Amiri, Loretto Reid, Kevin Quain, Ravi Naimpally, Ayron Mortley and the Last Calls.
McClyment’s music is inspired by all manner of sounds. “When I was growing up, there was always music playing in the house. My parents’ taste was seemingly unrestrained; we listened to everything from Jimmy Hendrix to Jordi Savall to Ali Farke Toure. As such, my pieces turn out to be a mix of everything.”
Jaimie started life in Toronto, where he continues to base his musical career. When he’s not on the road, you can find him playing in local pubs and concert halls.
When he's not composing music, Jaimie tries to understand all the fuss about matching socks.
